Do the following before class next week :
- Join the class slack
- Join our class in OpenProcessing. The access code for the class is CAAB6D
- send me your github repo for the class in slack If you don’t have a github account, or know what git is, don;t worry about this step. We’ll discuss in class next week.
- Once you contact me with your information in slack I will add you to the class blog. I strongly suggest you do these things above ASAP (like tonight, or over the weekend) so you can get the homework done on time.
- download the processing IDE, or jump right into the processing.js editor in openprocessing
- Draw a self-portrait in a sketchbook.
- Use that self-portrait as a reference and recreate it in processing.
- Write a blog post that includes the reference image, a screen grab of your sketch, and a link to your sketch on openprocessing. In the post, write at least 100-150 words about what was easy and what was difficult in making the transition from one medium to another.
- Read Form+Code chapter 1 “What is Code?” distributed in class, or online through ProQuest (NYU net id needed)
